Rear derailleur Sram X5 10s long cage

Compatibility of this Sram X5 derailleur:

For the best performance, the Sram X5 rear derailleur can be used with 10 gears sram shifters, cassette, chain, chainrings and crankset.

Assembly of this Sram X5 derailleur:

Use an allen key with a torque of 8 to 10 N.m to screw the derailleur on the derailleur hanger .

Tacking of the chain :

The derailleur cage is equiped with a pin or plate to prevent the chain from derailing. When routing the chain into the rear derailleur, pass it through the rear deailleur body from the side of the pin / plate to prevent the chain from derailing as shown in the diagram. If the chain is not properluy routed, the chain or the derailleur can be damaged.

Adjustment of the stops:

1/ Adjustement of the upper stop:

turn the upper adjusting screw until to adjust the guide roller will be below the outer line of the smallest sprocket when looking from the rear .

2/ Adjustment of the lower stop:

turn the lower adjusting screw so that the guide roller moves below the largest gear.

Note:

If the spokes are too close to the inside of the rear derailleur cage, turn the lower adjustment screw to adjust.
