BH (Bestegui Hermanos) is a Spanish bicycle brand founded in 1909 by three brothers: Cosme, Domingo and Juan Beistegui Albistegui.

History of BH:

At its beginnings in 1909, BH is established in the city of Eibar in Spain, its activity consists in manufacturing armaments.

After the end of the First World War, in 1923, BH decided to stop manufacturing weapons to design and manufacture bicycles.

In 1926, the company moved to settle in Urkizu.

The many victories of BH in competition:

In 1935, the tour of Spain was created by the newspaper "informaciones", BH was one of the first sponsors who believed in the development of this new event and contributed to its fame. Gustaf Deloor wins the first two editions on a BH bike.

The BH company develops through the manufacture of competition bicycles, intended for use in leisure and as a means of locomotion. Faced with the increase in sales, a new factory was opened in Eibar in 1953 and production moved to Vitoria in 1956.

In 1982, the company offered its first BMX, the BH Meteor. Then in 1984, the first mountain bike was offered on the market, the BH Running Bull.

In 1986, Alvaro Pino won the Tour of Spain riding a BH. In 1987, Fede Etxabe and Anselmo Fuerte came out on top at the top of Alpe d'Huez in the Tour de France, on a BH bike.

In 1990, Lale Cubino became Spanish road champion riding a BH.

The first BH mountain bikes:

Then BH will obtain many recognitions in mountain biking with models that mark their time, this is the case of the BH Supra Litage Sakae or the BH Coronas. In 1990, the BH Top Line was one of the best-selling mountain bikes with its oversize aluminum frame.

In 1992, the MTB Coronas team was created, it will have many successes which will make it famous in Spain.

In 2005, Roberto Heras won the Vuelta on BH for the third time in a row.

In 2006 marks a double for BH at the Vuelta with on the final podium the winner Alexandr Vinokourov and in third place Andrey Kasheckin.

The victories of velo BH in triathlon:

BH bikes are also victorious in triathlon by big names such as Eneko Llanos who finished second in the Ironman of Hawaii in 2008. That same year BH launched its first electric bikes on the market.

In 2012, Julie Bresset became Olympic champion in XCO mountain biking on BH at the Summer Games in London. The same year Nicola Spirig became Olympic triathlon champion in London.

BH will then receive a Eurobike Award for its Neo electric mountain bikes.

In 2016, the BH Suntour SR KMC team becomes leader of the UCI XCO ranking

In 2018, BH obtains its third title of short distance triathlon world champion by mario Mola.
